The natural joy which summer time brings - I thought these would never open.
Please excuse my dirty window - to busy spending my time outdoors to worry about that!

I plan to "flaunt" one of these all summer but can't decide which one! :)

Spent a fun afternoon with a friend in China Town.
There was soo much great stuff to see and of course eat.
And no visit to that area is ever complete without one of these shots.
Took this as we were leaving - just in time to because my camera battery died.

A Spring Time Wonderland...

This is what my neighbourhood looked like this morning.
Ice on every tree in sight.
As well as every plant and shrub.
So...when was Spring suppose to arrive? At lease there was lots of sunshine and a blue sky.
Small steps towards what I hope will be a great Spring!

Moon Cakes...

I found this beautiful box in my buildings paper recycle bin this morning and no I don’t go around scouting recycle bins - it just happened to be at the top of the one I was about to use.

I thought it was visually stunning and worthy of a few snap shots. Under the cover has the same image minus the metallic finish.

I also looked up the Mid-Autumn Festival when these particular moon cakes are served, you can read more about it here and here.

Random Friday photo - what's on my desk today.

View in Front of You...

My view from the bus stop on a very cold and grey Sunday morning. I got bored standing at the bus stop yesterday morning so I took these for fun. Excuse the street lamp in the last photo; I couldn't wonder to far or chance missing the bus and waiting another 20 minutes in the cold.

This is Saint Joseph's Oratory in Montreal and I never get tired of seeing it! Next time I'll wait for my commute bus closer to the entrance of the oratory for some front view shots. Hopefully it'll be a nicer day and not to many tour buses to blocking the view.

Olympic Spirit...

The Olympic Torch Relay passed though my neighborhood this afternoon.

Luckily for me I was in the right place at the right time, but the wrong viewing spot! I should have been on the other side of the street for better pictures.

This exchange took place right at the corner of my street.

I was really happy for the chance to see it go through my neck of the city, along with most of the neighborhood kids; the elementary schools let them out early so they could participate.

The spirit of the 2010 Winter Olympics has finally hit our fair city...Go Team Canada!

Even though it was really cold today I didn’t want to waste my day off indoors, so I went around our city's downtown core in search of this:

It was so overcast but I couldn’t have asked for a better day to do this…less foot traffic getting in my shots because everyone’s indoors trying to stay warm.

Ridin'...

Look what I spied on my way to work last week.
It was just parked waiting to be photographed and as a huge fan of pimped vintage rides I did just that!
Love with that shade of blue especially on the rims.

Subway Art...

While riding the subway this weekend I came across this

Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me so I had to use the one on my cell phone. Now I know to some people this sort of thing is considered vandalism and sometimes depending on the type of “tag” I would agree. But I thought this was pretty well done given the fact that our trains don’t always provide the smoothes ride for such detail with a ball point pen.

Anyone interested in a good book about women graffiti artist from around the world should take a look at this one

And the newest edition of Graffiti World is out
I have the first edition of this one and both books have been great sources for inspiration.
